COLLECTING CONTEMPORARY IN METRO NEW YORK

This exhibition features contemporary works of art in all media from six distinguished area collections including more than seventy important works by both emerging and established artists.
Highlights of the exhibition include Nukae? by El Anatsui; Femme Couteau by Louise Bourgeois; Untitled (Gordon’s Made Me Do It) by Rikrit Tiravanija; Two into One by Martin Puryear; an untitled drawing by Tara Donovan, and Now by Kiki Smith.
Living with Art focuses on the collections of Doreen and Gilbert Bassin, Martin and Rebecca Eisenberg, The Ginsberg Collection, Jeffrey and Ruth Libin, Monica and Richard Segal, and another private collection, with each offering insight into the collectors’ personal approaches to acquiring art.
